*featured image: A mountain species of fritillary, Fritillaria messanensis (sl. ena od vrst logarice). Its areal spans across the Mediterranean regions of Balkan peninsula and Italy. I encountered the one pictured here on the ridge of Mt. Ošlak (Šar planina) in Kosovo.
